How booking with Jesters Hangout works

What a booking request is
Sending a request through the app does not book an appointment. The studio reviews it and answers by email — it may confirm the request, ask you for changes, or decline it. An appointment exists only once the studio has confirmed it.
Price
The price shown in the app is an estimate for the design and size you picked, including VAT. The studio may adjust the size, price or exact hour when it confirms your request, and tells you what changed by email. Payment happens in person at the studio; the app takes no payment and no deposit.
Date and time
You pick a day and a time of day. The exact hour is agreed with the artist when the request is confirmed.
Changing or cancelling
To change or cancel, reply to any email the studio sent you about your request, or contact the studio directly.
Right of withdrawal
Under EU consumer law you may normally withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. Because a tattoo appointment is a service tied to a specific date you agree with the artist, this right does not apply once the appointment has taken place, and if the appointment falls within those 14 days you may be asked to confirm that you want it to go ahead.
Tattooing and its risks
A tattoo is permanent and carries risks, including allergic reactions, infection and scarring. By sending a booking request you accept these risks and take responsibility for telling the artist, at the studio and not in the request, about any allergies, medical conditions or medication, and for following the aftercare instructions. To the extent the law allows, the studio is not liable for reactions or results caused by undisclosed conditions, aftercare not followed, or how your own skin heals. You will sign a consent form at the studio before your session.
Age
Tattoos are booked for guests aged 18 and over, or 16–17 with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. The studio checks this in person.

Complaints and disputes
Contact the studio first. If you cannot reach a solution together, you can turn to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (Consumentenombudsdienst / Service de Médiation pour le Consommateur), www.consumentenombudsdienst.be.
